Wondering why you should visit Ali’i Kai Resort on the north shore in Kauai?

For many visitors, Kauai is the ultimate destination in Hawaii. The most under-developed of the larger islands, it is a green and lush paradise with amazing beaches, a huge range of activities and lovely resorts. It really is one of the most beautiful places on earth. So now that we have convinced you to visit Kauai, why should you stay at Ali’i Kai Resort on the North Shore of the island in Princeville?

1) Access to the island’s natural beauty

Ali’i Kai is located on the island’s north shore – and in our opinion this is the best part of the island with easy access to lush forests, mountains and white, sandy beaches.

2) Na Pali Coast

This alone is why so many choose to visit Kauai. This stretch of valleys and cliffs (pali), sea caves and exclusive beaches, wraps around the northwestern portion of the island and is only accessible by booking a boat tour, hiking the Kalalau Trail or taking a flight on a helicopter.

3) Koke‘e State Park

Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, is a visual treat that is full of gorgeous scenery including Kalalau Valley. Koke‘e and Waimea State Parks have vistas and hikes that abound and are unlike anything you will find elsewhere.

4) Beaches

Over 50 miles of magnificent beach surround the island, many of which are world-renowned like Hanalei Bay, just minutes from Ali’i Kai Resort on the North Shore. This beach has everything – gentle waves, beautiful scenery and breathtaking sunsets.

5) Water activities

For water sports enthusiasts, this is the place to be. People can indulge in any number of activities from surfing, Kauai where many of the pros come from, and kayaking to snorkeling and scuba diving.

6) Hiking

Because the Garden Island is still so natural, there are many hiking trails full of tropical wilderness. There are paths to keep outdoor enthusiasts from novice to experienced, happy. The 22-mile round-trip Kalalau Trail is the toughest, but one of the most rewarding hikes, but you’ll need to come prepared.

7) Fewer crowds

It doesn’t ever get too crowded on Kauai. The year-round population is around 70,000 and yet the island is almost the same size as O‘ahu which has nearly one million people. If you pick the right time of day, you could be sitting on a beach or meandering on a hike and not see a single person.

8) Fresh tropical fruits and great coffee

Visitors can purchase delicious locally-grown fruits and vegetables at one of the many farmer’s markets on the North Shore while a visit to the Kauai Coffee Company is a must for some locally-brewed coffee.

9) Amazing accommodations, great location

Ali’i Kai Resort offers amazing accommodations in spacious two-bedroom condos that have gone through a comprehensive renovation to meet the highest standards of the industry. Located in Princeville, an upscale resort community, you have the best of all worlds. Everything that you’d expect from a resort destination with untouched tropical beauty just moments away.

Please note that while other condos are available in the Ali’Kai area, only the Ali’i Kai Resort accommodations offer luxury furnishings and fully equipped condos. Make sure that you are renting the right condo, so you are not disappointed.

10) Relaxation

While there are plenty of activities and attractions to visit, remember you are on vacation so why not enjoy a day or two around the swimming pool at Ali’i Kai Resort? Sunbathe on our comfortable loungers, relax in the Jacuzzi and grill your delicious freshly-caught fish on one of our barbecues.
