Ali’i Kai Resort is delighted to announce its new association with prominent island photographer Ted Lauder.
Known locally for his stunning wedding photography, portraits and commercial shoots, Ted is also an avid photographer of the island of Kauai. His stunning images will now be utilized by the Ali’i Kai Resort team throughout the resort’s website, Facebook and Instagram profiles. The aim is to provide regular visitors and new guests to Kauai with vacation inspiration and visual memories that will last a lifetime.
About Ted Lauder
Although offered a full ride scholarship from the prestigious Art Institute, Ted Lauder chose to study Fine Art at a local college with one of the best Art Departments in the country.
To further his talents, Ted was encouraged by his professors to study the classical masters in Europe. It was while documenting his travels and adventures with photography that his romance with the camera began.
Ted explains, “The ability to utilize all of the principles and theories of fine art to convey a statement, express emotion, reveal beauty in its abstraction and reality… to freeze time and Space in an instant. I was hooked.”
Ted’s talents propelled him directly into a career as a photojournalist, commercial, fashion, and fine art photographer. His work has been published in Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, Women’s Wear Daily, Family Circle, Billboard, Gig, Men’s Journal, Outside, Islands Magazine, Brides and Bridal Magazine, among others.
His client list ranges from advertising, global corporate, global media, entertainment, sports, politics, art, and the music industry throughout Hawaii, the US mainland, and Europe.
Ted has lived on Kauai for over 25 years and has established himself as one of Hawaii’s leading wedding and portrait photographers.
